Seattle Library

This is a picture from Seattle's Rem Koolhaas Public Library. It is a modern art-type-building. It's actually really nice... This though, is one particular "art" that I didn't really understand. It's -I think- holograms of faces that are reciting -once again, I think- parts of novels. It's located beside one of the escalators. It scared me quite a bit... What do you guys think?

Scary! I prefer the stone face.

Well as a Seattlite, I can assure you that the scaryness of the first sighting soon turns to total boredom after about the 8th trip up that escalator.

Since it's a digital image, you'd think it could be varied endlessly... to at least keep it interesting.

It'd drive me nuts if I worked there.

I think the florescent colour of the escalator adds to it… I see how it can get annoying. Instead of taking a second trip on the escalator, I used the elevator… equally bright, but no strange faces!
